2. Our Services
We provide kitchen respraying services as detailed in your written quotation. This may include cleaning, degreasing, surface preparation, priming, and professional spray application of coatings to kitchen doors, drawer fronts, carcasses and any end panels where agreed.
Only the items listed in the quotation are included. Any additional work must be agreed in writing and may result in additional charges.
3. Quotes, Pricing & Payment
All quotations are provided in writing and are valid for the period stated. A deposit may be required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance payable upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
Additional costs may apply if the scope of work changes, unforeseen issues arise, or incorrect information has been provided.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
Provide accurate information about the kitchen and its condition
Ensure clear and safe access to the work area
Remove or protect personal belongings, appliances, and fragile items
Henley Contracts cannot accept responsibility for damage to items that were not removed or adequately protected.
5. Existing Conditions & Limitations
Kitchen respraying relies on the condition of existing materials. Pre-existing damage, swelling, failing substrates, vinyl wrap, water damage, or heat damage may affect results and are not covered by our workmanship guarantee.
We are not responsible for hidden defects that are not visible prior to work commencing.
6. Colour & Finish
We take great care to achieve an excellent finish. However, minor colour or sheen variations may occur due to lighting conditions, surface materials, or previous finishes. Colour matching is carried out to the closest practical match unless otherwise agreed in writing
7. Curing Time & Aftercare
Painted surfaces require time to fully cure. During this period, surfaces must be treated with care and cleaned gently. Aftercare guidance will be provided upon completion and must be followed.
8. Five-Year Workmanship Guarantee
Henley Contracts offers a five-year workmanship guarantee on resprayed surfaces, subject to normal domestic use and correct care.
The guarantee will be void if harsh, abrasive, chemical, or solvent-based cleaning products are used.
The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, impact damage, heat damage, water damage, misuse, or natural wear and tear.
9. Changes, Cancellations & Delays
Any changes to the agreed work must be confirmed in writing. Cancellations must be made within the timeframe stated in the quotation. Late cancellations may result in loss of deposit or charges for costs already incurred.
Henley Contracts is not liable for delays caused by factors outside our control.
10. Liability
Henley Contracts will take reasonable care when carrying out work. Our liability is limited to loss or damage caused directly by proven negligence.
We are not liable for pre-existing defects, hidden damage, customer-supplied materials, or indirect or consequential losses.
Masking, Protection & Surface Adhesion
Henley Contracts takes great care to protect surrounding areas during respraying works. Professional masking materials, including surface-appropriate low-tack tapes, are used wherever required.
However, due to the wide variety of wall finishes, paints, wallpapers, flooring, and surface conditions, Henley Contracts cannot be held responsible for damage caused by the removal of masking tape or protective materials. This includes, but is not limited to, lifting of existing paint, varnish, lacquer, wallpaper, or surface coatings.Any such issues are considered the result of the condition or adhesion of the existing surface and not the respraying process itself.
11. Insurance
Henley Contracts holds appropriate public liability insurance. Customers are responsible for ensuring their own property and contents are adequately insured during the works.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Care & Cleaning Guide for Your Resprayed Kitchen
At Henley Contracts, we take great pride in delivering a durable, high-quality finish. With the correct care, your resprayed kitchen will continue to look great for many years. This guide explains how to look after your newly resprayed surfaces and helps ensure your five-year workmanship guarantee remains valid.
Immediately After Respraying
Your kitchen may feel dry to the touch when we finish, but painted surfaces take time to fully cure.
For the first 7–14 days:
Treat surfaces gently
Avoid heavy use where possible
Do not scrub or clean aggressively
Avoid placing sticky tape, hooks, or protective films on painted areas
Full curing continues over several weeks.
Recommended Cleaning Method
For regular cleaning, we recommend:
Warm water
A soft cloth or microfiber cloth
Mild washing-up liquid (if needed)
Gently wipe surfaces and dry with a clean cloth. This method is safe and effective for maintaining your finish.
What NOT to Use
To protect your kitchen and your guarantee, do not use:
Abrasive cleaners or scouring pads
Bleach or ammonia-based products
Solvent-based cleaners
Degreasers or strong kitchen sprays
Cream cleaners or powdered cleaners
Steam cleaners
⚠️ Use of harsh, abrasive, chemical, or solvent-based cleaning products will void the Henley Contracts five-year workmanship guarantee.
Everyday Care Tips
Wipe up spills promptly, especially around sinks and kettles
Avoid excessive moisture on doors and panels
Use extractor fans when cooking to reduce heat and steam
Avoid banging doors or drawers
Use handles rather than pulling directly on painted surfaces
Small habits make a big difference to long-term durability.
Heat & Water Awareness
Painted finishes do not respond well to prolonged heat or moisture.
Please avoid:
Leaving kettles, slow cookers, or air fryers directly under doors
Allowing steam to build up without ventilation
Letting water sit on edges or joints
Damage caused by heat or water exposure is not covered under the guarantee.
Long-Term Care
With correct cleaning and normal domestic use, your resprayed kitchen should retain its appearance for many years. Natural wear and tear will occur over time, but following this care guide will help minimise it and protect your investment.
